127th Annual IAMIC Convention

The 127th Annual Convention of the Illinois Association of Mutual Insurance Companies will be held August 17-19, 2008 at the Pere Marquette Hotel in Peoria, Illinois. Join us in the celebration and take advantage of excellent networking and educational opportunites which will be provided!  We have a new agenda for this years event ~ Once again we begin the festivities with a Trap Shoot and Golf Outing Sunday Morning, the Grinnell Annual Open Reception will begin at 5:00 p.m. followed by our Annual Banquet.  We will be hiring a professional photographer to capture the memories of this years banquet, a complimentary 5 X 7 photo will be provided - be sure to bring your smiles! 

Monday will begin the educational and entertaining portion of our convention which will include recognizing our Company of Achievement Award winner along with our Volunteer of the Year.  Have you submitted your nomination's?  Click on the link below and complete the short application.  Break out sessions for the Manager's and Director's will provide excellent speakers and valuable information.  The Director's session will qualify for the NAMIC Certification program which will offer discounts to your Mutual.  See additional information regarding this opportunity!  In addition, we will hold our Prayer Breakfast, Annual Business Meeting & Luncheon and the Auxiliary will host a program on Longaberger basket weaving - special gifts will be provided to each attendee.   We end the day with a trip to the ball park to watch the Peoria Chief's in action.  Join us for a buffet dinner in the Pepsi Plaza deck before the game.  This is an excellent networking opportunity. 

Tuesday will wrap up the convention with our Industry Breakfast and our closing session, and a luncheon.  Our convention speakers are amazing - you won't want to miss any of the sessions!

We have applied to the Illinois Division of Insurance for eight hours of continuing education for Monday, August 18 and three hours of credit for Tuesday, August 19. Early Bird deadline is July 26 and hotel rooms will be released at this time. 

The Annual Convention is the premier event for the association. Please make plans today to join us as we celebrate 127 years of service to the industry.
