             The Basics of Agricultural Farm Equipment Subrogation               
                 This course will provide you with the basic knowledge of what types of agricultural equipment your company should be pursuing subrogation on.  You
                 will be provided with a foundation of what to look for as common fire-starting points on tractors and combines that usually lead to subrogation recovery. 
                 The steps for securing your equipment to be  held as evidence will be covered in depth.

Using computers, a method to mesh long-term disaster information with current demographic, building, and other data to determine the potential cost of natural disasters and other catastrophic losses for a given geographic areas.

 10:30 – 12:00             Past, Present & Future of the Farm Mutual (Management Module)

                                         Speaker: Jack Randall CIC, PCLA, PFMM

This session will focus on understanding the origination of mutual insurance, the operating structure of a mutual insurance company and how companies will evolve and change to ensure a future in the industry. It will also discuss the difference between mutual companies and other companies, how mutual insurance is affected by state and federal government/regulations, and how to manage the relationship with the state’s department of insurance

                                                Qualifies for the state mandated 3 hour Ethic’s Course.  Todd has been leading our Ethics class and has been given the highest of reviews.  Todd has
                                                a way of bringing in everyday situations that let us recognize areas where we are challenged with ethical decisions.  Join us for this engaging session.

Accommodations

Important Information: When we contract with a hotel for a conference, the hotel relies upon the revenue that is generated by food and beverage, meeting room and guestroom sales. When our group sales fall below the contract obligations, we are penalized. This penalty, which can be quite substantial, can be avoided. By booking your guestroom at the host hotel, you will receive a beautiful, specially priced guestroom room AND you will help us to live up to our contractual commitment and keep future program fees in line.

Annual Business Meeting/Industry Luncheon

This year we are combining the Industry Lunch with the Annual Business Meeting.  In addition to board nominations, by laws considerations if any, financial reports and committee and Chairman-Elect reports, this year’s Annual Business Meeting, scheduled for Monday, August 21, 2017 at 12:15 p.m. will also include the Award ceremony for Company Achievement, Volunteer of the Year and Fire Dept of the Year Awards.  Our special guest speakers will be NAMIC Chairman Steve Linkous.

 

Sponsorship

Companies that can assist in defraying some of the costs of the convention are currently being sought. A sponsorship brochure was mailed to each company.  Any company or individual able to donate to help in sponsoring the programs would be greatly appreciated. If you or your companies are interested in donating, please contact the IAMIC office at 217-563-8300.  Sponsorships must be made by July 28 to be recognized in the program booklet which is given to all attendees.

Prayer Service

Back by request – we will hold our memorial service/prayer breakfast on Monday Morning.  Plan to join us in fellowship as we gather to pay our respects and remember friends and colleagues whom we have lost in the past year.   Anita Brown, Director for Central Illinois Agency on Aging, Inc. will be our guest speaker. 

 

Trade Show

The Trade Show will be open Monday, August 21. We will serve complimentary refreshments and will have a sitting area available for you to visit with friends and colleagues.  Our vendors offer many services that can help you solve problems that your Mutual may be facing.  Take advantage of this opportunity to find out more about their products and services.

 

Complimentary Photos

We will once again offer complimentary photos for all attendees.  You will receive a complimentary picture which will be printed on site and available after the banquet program.  Join us before the banquet to capture the atmosphere and treasured memories of this convention!

 

Continuing Education

We have applied to the Illinois Division of Insurance for Six hours of continuing education credit for Monday, August 21; and Three CE hours for Tuesday, August 22.  (3 CE Ethics credits are offered at convention.)
