Volunteerism is the heart of any strong association. It reflects a willingness to give time, share talents, and work together for the benefit of others. The people who volunteer bring energy, ideas, leadership, and a spirit of service that helps turn an event into a memorable convention and an organization into a true community.

It takes many volunteers to make our convention a success and to help an association with a small staff continue providing strong service, meaningful programs, and opportunities for our members throughout the year. I am deeply grateful to every person who gives their time, energy, and talents to IAMIC. Your willingness to step in—whether in a visible role or behind the scenes—makes a genuine difference.



This year’s Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes someone whose name you will hear often throughout this convention, because whenever there is a need, Beth Wingerter is willing to help.

Beth has been a dedicated member of our Board of Directors for the past three years, and we are especially pleased that she is being elected to serve as Chair-Elect. Her leadership, enthusiasm, and commitment to this association are evident in everything she does.

But Beth’s service goes far beyond the boardroom. She is the friendly face you see at so many of our activities—helping with golf, trivia, bourbon tasting, ticket-taking, and countless behind-the-scenes details that make our events run smoothly. She sees what needs to be done, steps up without hesitation, and does it all with a welcoming smile and a positive spirit.

Beth, thank you for the time, heart, and energy you give to this association and to our members. We are fortunate to have you as a volunteer, a board leader, and a friend. It is my sincere pleasure to recognize Beth Wingerter as our Volunteer of the Year.
