2022 Fire Department of the Year Award Winner - The Hebron-Alden-Greenwood Fire Protection District

East Peoria, IL – The Hebron-Alden-Greenwood Fire Protection District was honored as the Fire Department of the Year at the 141st Convention of the Illinois Association of Mutual Insurance Companies in August.

Nominated by Belvidere Mutual Insurance Company, Board Member, Karen Lalor wrote, “The residents sleep better knowing these volunteers are there to aid 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is very difficult to pick one or two things the HAGFPD does that makes them outstanding; it is rather their overall caring that makes them stand out and the community is blessed to have them”

Since 1900, The Hebron-Alden-Greenwood Fire Protection District has been providing life-saving assistance to the surrounding communities. From field fires to agricultural accidents to emergency calls, HAGFPD is ready and willing to risk their lives to help others.  

The dedication and determination this department has diligently shown toward the betterment and safety of their community earns them badges of honor with every service call, IAMIC is honored to present them this award.
